The A/C wont work without the fan. If you take the heater resistor out you can tell at a glance if its burned out if it is change it otherwise you`ll have to look deeper. To fix I pushed down on the boot which caused it to click, and then the boot would open. A spray of WD40 on the catch seemed to clear it completely.
